Amber Stitt [00:00:00]:
Okay, so I have any advice for entrepreneurs? Because it doesn't matter what age you are. We're learning that with my guests today. Doesn't matter what age you are. What would you say to motivate people just to put their ideas into motion? Do you have any thoughts on that? Is it hard?

Kennedy Hill [00:00:15]:
Not really. Is it fun? We just find stuff to sell. Like we sell chips, ring pops, and lollipops, and then some toys that we don't use.

Amber Stitt [00:00:25]:
Any ideas of things that you would like to sell that your mom and dad say, "No, not yet, or..."

Kennedy Hill [00:00:30]:
Well, like our mom usually says, "No," to the lemonade stand, but our dad says, "Yes."

Jason Hill [00:00:35]:
Oh yeah.

Amber Stitt [00:00:38]:
Hello and welcome to Pathways Unleashed, a special edition of Pathways with Amber Stitt. The Pathways Unleashed podcasts were recorded with special guests and the authors of "The Unleashed Entrepreneur" and "The Biohacking Entrepreneur" who were celebrating the book launches at the Unleash Your Superpower conference in Delray Beach, Florida in April 2025. Let's join the conversation.

Amber Stitt [00:01:03]:
So we are live Boca Raton. We are at the Owwll Studio. I'm going to call it a studio. The founder is with me, Jason Hill. And we're going to talk about you a little bit later. First we're going to talk about your kiddos. So I have some mini-entrepreneurs. You're supposed to be in school, I think, but they let you ditch class to become entrepreneurs today.

Amber Stitt [00:01:24]:
And I already bought some things from you guys. Did you know you're going to sell products today as part of your deal like you've been planning? Because you're business owners, so that makes sense. So is this naturally happening? Is it in the DNA?

Jason Hill [00:01:37]:
Oh yeah, they love setting up the lemonade stand. What's the name of your lemonade stand, Westin?

Westin Hill [00:01:41]:
Westin...

Jason Hill [00:01:42]:
What is it K?

Westin & Kennedy [00:01:44]:
Legendary Westin and Legendary K Lemonade Stand. I think we rehearsed Legendary Lemonade.

Jason Hill [00:01:50]:
There it is.

Amber Stitt [00:01:51]:
When does this happen? I don't live here, so am I missing out?

Jason Hill [00:01:55]:
Oh yeah, it's legendary.

Westin Hill [00:01:56]:
Well, like we do it a couple times a year.

Amber Stitt [00:01:58]:
Okay, so in the neighborhood.

Westin & Kennedy [00:02:00]:
Yeah, yeah.

Amber Stitt [00:02:00]:
Tell me more.

Kennedy Hill [00:02:01]:
Just people come. We do it like right as like when the cars go out.

Amber Stitt [00:02:06]:
Now who is running the sales behind it? So who is bringing the people? Hey, cars, come over here. Who's doing that? All right, so you're the sales guy. Would you call yourself more operations? You're holding down the fort, making sure everything's running smooth.

Kennedy Hill [00:02:19]:
Yeah.

Amber Stitt [00:02:20]:
Okay, who else do we need to pull into the business? Are you gonna be running like behind the scenes products?

Jason Hill [00:02:25]:
Oh no, this is their business. I just go to Costco.

Amber Stitt [00:02:27]:
Okay, so you are supplies?

Jason Hill [00:02:29]:
We're the supplier. I help them get the ice, of course, and set up the chest for them, but it's on them after that. They set up the table, they put up chairs. They take our wireless microphones so they're nice and loud and they bring people in.

Amber Stitt [00:02:42]:
Okay, what age did you start doing this?

Kennedy Hill [00:02:44]:
Maybe when I was like 6 or 7.

Amber Stitt [00:02:47]:
So you think my daughter could do it? Like it's time?

Westin & Kennedy [00:02:49]:
Yeah. Yeah.

Amber Stitt [00:02:50]:
Maybe not in Arizona where it's 100 degrees, but maybe at some point we could figure out the season for the lemonade stand. Yeah. Okay. So have any advice for entrepreneurs? Because it doesn't matter what age you are. We're learning that with my guests today. Doesn't matter what age you are. What would you say to motivate people just to put their ideas into motion? Do you have any thoughts on that? Is it hard?

Westin & Kennedy [00:03:11]:
Not really. We just find stuff to sell. Like we sell chips, ring pops, and lollipops, and then some toys that we don't use.

Amber Stitt [00:03:21]:
Any ideas of things that you would like to sell that your mom and dad say no, not yet?

Kennedy Hill [00:03:26]:
Well, like our mom usually says, "No," to the lemonade stand, but our dad says, "Yes."

Jason Hill [00:03:31]:
Oh, yeah.

Amber Stitt [00:03:32]:
Okay. So executive leadership has a...

Jason Hill [00:03:35]:
They want to do it like every two weeks.

Amber Stitt [00:03:37]:
Oh, okay.

Jason Hill [00:03:38]:
My wife gets concerned that it's out in our neighborhood a little too much.

Amber Stitt [00:03:41]:
Okay.

Jason Hill [00:03:42]:
So we're trying to make it more of a compromise a little bit there.

Amber Stitt [00:03:45]:
If it's a little more like scarcity, then it makes it more exciting when it happens and then you can make all the money and just like a couple times a year. So you have a season, sounds like.

Kennedy Hill [00:03:54]:
Yeah, we do it in the summer, or when it's hot.

Amber Stitt [00:03:58]:
Do you make your mom work the lemonade stand ever?

Weston [00:04:00]:
Nope, she says no. She's just inside.

Jason Hill [00:04:02]:
Yeah, she's chilling. Not bad though, right?

Amber Stitt [00:04:06]:

Amber Stitt [00:04:29]:
So did you say they have microphones?

Jason Hill [00:04:30]:
Oh, we have a wireless microphone and we hook it up to a speaker. Kind of like a little mini karaoke set. Think about from that point of view.

Amber Stitt [00:04:36]:
You guys think you're shy when it comes to public speaking, or is it more like a natural thing for you?

Kennedy Hill [00:04:42]:
Well, like, we're pretty used to it now.

Amber Stitt [00:04:44]:
Is it his fault? Did he get you started early?

Westin & Kennedy [00:04:47]:
Yeah. Yeah.

Amber Stitt [00:04:48]:
Do you know how cool that is? That's pretty cool. Cause then you can just live your life and just be out there meeting people, networking. The currency of life. Would you agree? Connecting people?

Jason Hill [00:04:58]:
Yeah, most people who have success, it's done through relationships. Absolutely. So, Westin, do you have any shout outs?

Westin & Kennedy [00:05:04]:
Ooh, I'm gonna shout out to Mercer, Lily, Elle and K you...I want to give that shout out to my friend, my best friend, Mabry. And then Lily and we're gonna give a shout out to our principal.

Jason Hill [00:05:21]:
The principal?

Amber Stitt [00:05:22]:
Oh, awesome.

Westin & Kennedy [00:05:22]:
And her dog, Hank. And her husband.

Jason Hill [00:05:25]:
Oh, really?

Amber Stitt [00:05:26]:
You know the husband, too?

Kennedy Hill [00:05:28]:
Not really.

Amber Stitt [00:05:29]:
Just in case, to make it fair. OK.

Weston [00:05:31]:
And the awesome cupcake she made.

Amber Stitt [00:05:35]:
And then do you guys have any pets?

Westin Hill [00:05:36]:
No, I really want a dog.

Amber Stitt [00:05:38]:
Oh, no, I shouldn't have said that.

Jason Hill [00:05:39]:
Okay, thanks, Amber.

Amber Stitt [00:05:40]:
Thanks a lot. Well, maybe with their money that they're earning, they can. They're responsible. They can handle it.

Jason Hill [00:05:45]:
And what about the maintenance costs? Come on. Come on.

Amber Stitt [00:05:47]:
I'm totally with you. I'm with you, okay.

Amber Stitt [00:05:49]:
But that's what's going to be exciting. You're going to make all this money and then buy this big old house one day. And then you can have as many animals as you want. Freedom, baby.

Amber Stitt [00:05:57]:

Amber Stitt [00:06:10]:

Jason Hill [00:06:11]:
Hey, why don't you show them what's underneath the sweatshirt over there? What are you wearing today?

Amber Stitt [00:06:15]:
The schwag.

Jason Hill [00:06:15]:
What are you wearing? Oh, she's got an Owwll T-shirt. Here we go.

Amber Stitt [00:06:18]:
That's awesome.

Jason Hill [00:06:19]:
And watch this Owwll.

Amber Stitt [00:06:21]:
Okay, so we need to figure out how to get those out to the people. All right.

Amber Stitt [00:06:25]:
Need to know more.

Jason Hill [00:06:26]:
Okay, give us a hoot. Hoot.

Amber Stitt [00:06:27]:
Hoot Hoot.

Kennedy Hill [00:06:28]:
Hoot Hoot.

Westin Hill [00:06:28]:
Hoot Hoot.

Amber Stitt [00:06:29]:
Hoot, Hoot.

Jason Hill [00:06:29]:
And what did we do that one time we went to a convention when we stood in front of the Starbucks? What did you say? You said, "If you download Owwll..." What was it?

Westin & Kennedy [00:06:37]:
If you download Owwll will give you like, we get $10. You get $10.

Jason Hill [00:06:41]:
That's right. And what happened? We got a lot of downloads that day, right?

Westin & Kennedy [00:06:44]:
Yeah.

Jason Hill [00:06:45]:
And then they fell in love with the Owwll app and continued to use it. See that.

Amber Stitt [00:06:48]:
I'm so proud of you guys. It's really cool.

Jason Hill [00:06:50]:
Okay. And now you've got many entre. Don't know this, but you're in the books on the table right there. One of those books, Daddy's a co-author and in that chapter, when you read it tomorrow when you come to Barnes and Noble, you're going to see that you're part of the book and you influenced daddy. Pretty darn cool, right?

Westin & Kennedy [00:07:06]:
Yeah.

Amber Stitt [00:07:06]:
Motivation.

Jason Hill [00:07:07]:
Any final words, Westin? No, you're good. What about you, K? Any final words?

Kennedy Hill [00:07:13]:
Hoot Hoot.

Jason Hill [00:07:14]:
Hoot Hoot. That is right. She is hooting.

Amber Stitt [00:07:17]:
Well thank you guys. I'm so glad you can sit down with me.

Jason Hill [00:07:21]:
Absolutely. Well, we're going to get our next guest on deck.

Amber Stitt [00:07:24]:
Thanks for coming.

Jason Hill [00:07:25]:
Yeah. Westin and Kennedy are going to go back to selling items up front while we get the next 10 plus people rolling through the studio today. I'll see you all later for my segment, of course.

Amber Stitt [00:07:35]:
Thanks, Jason. Thanks, you guys.
